About Primary Health Care

Since the 1980s, Primary Health Care has focused on offering affordable and accessible health care to local communities. Today, with more than 1,000 health professionals practising as part of our network, we provide comprehensive, extended hours care in more than 70 medical centres throughout Australia.

Of these, 58 centres are large-scale centres offering a broad range of services that include general practice, a fully-equipped treatment room, pathology, radiology (X-ray, ultrasound and CT), physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmacy, medical specialists and other allied health professionals.

Bulk billing is available, and centres are generally open 365 days, 7am to 10pm. Patients can elect to see the first available GP, or their preferred practitioner. Our medical centres are bright and welcoming, and equipped with the latest technology.

Through effective shared rostering, we are able to offer continuity of care to patients, without the need to hire locums. Our model offers a full spectrum of services associated in the day to day management and operations of a medical practice allowing medical professionals to focus on the provision of patient care.
